Coffee. It's why we're here!

What's the one thing you would bring to a deserted island?

The answer around here is coffee, coffee and more coffee.. plus rum for Painkillers later on :D

So what is South Shore Bean Company?

We're a woman and veteran-owned coffee roasting business located in Pardeeville, Wisconsin and for us, the "soul" of our coffee is found in the details:

  • We treat roasting as a science while embracing the dialing in coffee of profiles as an artform. Each coffee captures a specific essence of "lake life."
  • Each bag design is an original piece of artwork hand-drawn by a talented artist out of Milwaukee, created to tell the story of the beans inside.
  • And finally, we screen print our bags by hand. No two bags are exactly alike, so when you pick up a bag of our coffee, you're holding something that is truly one-of-a-kind.

How did we come up with our name?

We're fortunate and grateful to be able to roast lakeside, in a facility on our family property. We truly live our brand day in and day out.

How did we get to this point?

From mornings around Grandma's kitchen table dipping shortbread cookies into a cup of coffee to stepping through the doors of a Green Beans Coffee shop for a taste of "home" during combat deployments, coffee has always been more than a beverage;

Coffee is a shared experience, a source of comfort, and a catalyst for connection.

Coffee brings us together as we visit with friends and loved ones, as we discuss and solve complex challenges, as we share meals and travel and venture into the world. We believe that every cup of coffee has the power to connect people, spark conversations, and inspire creativity.

With this spirit of connection, fueled by curiosity and (of course) caffeine, South Shore Bean Company was founded.
